Indications:

Ticagrelor, co-administered with acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), is indicated for the prevention of atherothrombotic events in adult patients with:
Acute coronary syndromes (ACS)
A history of myocardial infarction (MI) and a high risk of developing an atherothrombotic event

Dosage and Administration:

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Swallow the tablet(s) with a glass of water.
You can take the tablet with or without food.
Take this medicine around the same time every day (for example, one tablet in the morning and one in the evening).
Your doctor will usually also tell you to take acetylsalicylic acid.
If you have trouble swallowing the tablet you can crush it, mix with water and drink immediately. 

Contraindication:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. 
Active pathological bleeding.  
History of intracranial hemorrhage. 
Severe hepatic impairment. 
Co-administration of ticagrelor with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole, clarithromycin, nefazodone, ritonavir and atazanavir), as co-administration may lead to a substantial increase in exposure to ticagrelor
